One of My Favorite Roses is "New Dawn"

New Dawn climbing rose
Growing roses in my zone 5 planting zone can be a challenge. After all, "Mother Nature" has a mind of her own, and we never know what her plans are for each winter season.
I try to find roses that are hardy to my zone,to avoid having to replace them frequently.
In my search for a (hardy) pink climbing rose, I came across New Dawn. It proved to be everything it said it was: Hardy, profusion of flowers, grows tall 12-18 ft.and with a sweet, rose fragrance.)
The flowers themselves are spectacular! They start out as delicate looking pink buds that would make nice 'boutineers', or corsages. Then the flowers mature to a soft blush silvery pink. They look like the blooms on a Hybrid Tea rose!
These flowers grace the entry to my pergola in the center of my rose garden. They grow along side "Super Dorothy", and the two blooming together are stunning!
